DPD SK, part of DPDgroup and one of the largest logistics players in Europe, needed to modernise its ERP system to keep pace with rising parcel volumes and increasing customer demands.
DPD SK belongs to DPDgroup, Europe’s largest delivery network, operating in 230 countries worldwide. The Slovak branch is a technology leader on its local market, processing hundreds of thousands of parcels every year. With growing volumes and rising customer expectations, the company needed to modernise its ERP system, consolidate accounting, controlling, and logistics into a single platform, and at the same time reduce IT operating costs. The goal was to implement a scalable cloud solution to streamline processes and enable faster decision-making based on consolidated data.
We delivered SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, unifying finance, controlling, and logistics, reducing costs, and opening the path to further digitalisation.
The challenge
The challenge was to replace the existing SAP Business One with a robust cloud solution capable of handling hundreds of thousands of parcels per month, integrating key departments, and reducing operating costs. It was necessary to define a clear change plan, minimise the number of customisations, and ensure strong employee adoption.
How we solved it
We carried out a detailed pre-implementation analysis, designed optimised processes, and applied the “fit to standard” principle, reducing customisations to just eight. Thanks to agile management and close collaboration with DPD SK, the migration ran smoothly and the system was deployed on schedule. The result is a scalable architecture that supports future growth, integration with external systems, and advanced analytics.
By implementing SAP S/4HANA Cloud, DPD SK reduced IT infrastructure operating costs by 20%, increased cross-departmental flexibility, and consolidated accounting, controlling, and logistics into a single platform. With just eight customisations, the implementation was faster and more cost-efficient. The new cloud ERP provides DPD SK with a single source of truth, enables better decision-making, and prepares the company for future growth.
