Conteg, a leading Czech manufacturer of IT and industrial solutions, wanted to expand its portfolio with an IoT system for smart lockers – enabling self-service luggage storage and pick-up points across the Czech Republic.
Conteg operates in both domestic and international markets, focusing on innovative technologies and smart device development. To support its expansion into self-service lockers and pick-up points, the company needed a reliable partner to design and deliver a scalable IoT system.
We delivered a complete IoT platform that manages hundreds of smart lockers – from luggage storage facilities to the OX Point network connected to logistics partners.
The challenge
The challenge was to design and build a comprehensive smart locker management system within six months – one that would not only support the pilot luggage locker service but also be ready for rapid scaling into a nationwide pick-up point network. The system needed a robust architecture to handle large numbers of devices, seamless integration with logistics partners (such as Česká pošta and WE|DO), seamless communication between hardware and backend, and guaranteed security, reliability, and easy maintenance of the entire ecosystem.
How we solved it
We first developed and tested an agile prototype in five Czech cities. Based on the pilot results, we expanded it into a robust platform capable of managing a large portfolio of lockers – today powering the OX Point network. The solution was integrated with Česká pošta and WE|DO, ensuring operational stability.
Thanks to the IoT solution, Conteg launched self-service lockers in multiple cities and subsequently built the OX Point network integrated with major logistics partners. The entire project was delivered in just six months, enabling Conteg to expand its business into smart logistics.
