Škoda Auto needed to unify the online presentation of its dealers while at the same time preserving a high degree of customisation and marketing flexibility.

Škoda Auto a.s. is the largest car manufacturer in the Czech Republic and one of the country’s biggest employers. For its network of 155 authorised dealers and service centres, we developed a universal portal that enables them to present services and car offers with the full functionality of the modern Kentico platform. Thanks to a cloud-based SaaS solution, the portal is independent of the provider, fully scalable, and easy to manage at the level of individual dealers.

We created a universal SaaS portal that meets all these needs and unifies the customer experience across all 155 dealers.

The challenge

The challenge was to design a robust multi-site solution capable of handling used and in-stock cars, bookings, and marketing campaigns, while ensuring secure integration with eight different internal and external systems. Another technical challenge was to set up various levels of user rights and provide clear content management across the entire portal network.

How we solved it

We built a robust multi-site solution based on Kentico MVC with cloud hosting in Microsoft Azure. We ensured secure integration with eight Škoda Auto and third-party systems, set up different levels of editorial rights, and prepared intuitive content management across portals. Thanks to the system’s flexible architecture, dealers can easily manage car listings, bookings, and marketing campaigns, while the central platform ensures a consistent customer experience.

The new platform enabled 155 dealers to manage their own websites with a high degree of independence, while maintaining a consistent customer experience. Improved marketing targeting and optimised processes increased conversions by 80% among three selected dealers. The entire ecosystem, built on eight integrated systems, is future-ready and enables Škoda Auto to respond quickly to evolving market and customer needs.
